Getting Started
What is RackDrop Rentals?
+
RackDrop ships pre-built, pre-configured audio systems to your door, ready to use. You plug in two cables, and the system works. No technical knowledge required, no setup headaches, no sound engineer needed. When your event is over, pack it back up and ship it back with the included pre-paid return label.
Who is this for?
+
Anyone who needs professional audio results without the technical expertise. Churches that struggle with feedback during sermons, schools hosting assemblies or graduations, corporate teams running conferences or panels, wedding coordinators who need clean audio at the ceremony, and AV rental houses that want to sub-rent specialized equipment they don't own. If you've ever thought "we need a sound person for this" — RackDrop is the alternative.
Do I need any audio experience to use this?
+
No. If you can plug in a microphone cable, you can use a RackDrop system. Every kit arrives with a laminated quick-start card and a QR code that links to a short setup video. Most customers are set up in under 5 minutes. The systems auto-boot and auto-configure — there are no screens to navigate, no software to install, and no buttons to press.
What products do you offer?
+
Right now we offer De-Feedback Racks — AI-powered feedback elimination systems that process your microphone signal in real time with zero latency. They come in three sizes: Single Channel (1 mic), Dual Channel (2 mics), and Quad Channel (4 mics). We're also developing Wireless Microphone Racks (pre-coordinated Shure ULXD systems) and ADA Assistive Listening Systems for hearing-impaired compliance. Check our products page for details.
Pricing & Booking
How much does it cost?
+
De-Feedback Racks start at $75/day for the Single Channel kit, $125/day for Dual Channel, and $200/day for Quad Channel. We also offer discounted weekend rates (Fri–Mon) and weekly rates — for example, the Single Channel is $200/weekend or $350/week. See all pricing on our products page.
How do I book a rental?
+
Head to our products page, pick your kit, and choose your rate (daily, weekend, or weekly). You'll check out securely through Stripe — shipping is selected during checkout. Availability varies, so if the kit isn't available for your requested dates, we'll issue a full refund. Want to confirm availability first? Email us at book@rackdroprentals.com before you book.
What is Damage Protection?
+
Damage Protection is an optional add-on ($20/day) that covers accidental damage during your rental. Spilled coffee on the rack? Dropped a cable connector? You're covered. Without protection, you'd be responsible for repair or replacement costs. We recommend it for outdoor events and first-time renters. We'll reach out after you book to offer this option.
Can I extend my rental?
+
Usually, yes — just contact us before your rental end date and we'll extend it if the equipment isn't booked for another customer. Extensions are charged at the daily rate. If you think you might need extra time, it's best to book a longer window upfront to lock in the weekly rate.
Shipping
How does shipping work?
+
We ship nationwide via FedEx from Clearwater, Florida. Every rental includes round-trip shipping — outbound to you and a pre-paid return label in the box. You choose your shipping speed at checkout: FedEx 2-Day ($39.95, guaranteed 2 business days anywhere in the US) or FedEx Priority Overnight ($300, delivered by 8:30 AM the next business day).
How much does shipping cost?
+
Shipping is a flat rate regardless of where you are in the US. FedEx 2-Day is $39.95 (round-trip, includes pre-paid return label). FedEx Priority Overnight is $300 (round-trip, delivered by 8:30 AM). You select your shipping speed during Stripe checkout.
Should I pick 2-Day or Overnight shipping?
+
FedEx 2-Day ($39.95) works for most rentals — just make sure you book at least 3 business days before your event. If your event is tomorrow or you need a guaranteed morning delivery, FedEx Priority Overnight ($300) gets it to you by 8:30 AM the next business day.
When will my rental ship?
+
We ship your rental so it arrives on or before your first rental day. For Ground shipments, we build in a buffer day. For 2-Day shipments, we ship 2 business days before your start date. You'll get a FedEx tracking number via email as soon as your order ships. All shipments require a signature on delivery — make sure someone is available to receive the package.
How do I return the equipment?
+
Every rental ships with a pre-paid FedEx return label included. On your last rental day, pack everything back up (it all fits exactly how it arrived), apply the return label, and drop it off at any FedEx location or schedule a pickup. Your rental period ends when FedEx scans the return package — not when it arrives back to us.
Do you ship to Alaska, Hawaii, or internationally?
+
We can ship to Alaska and Hawaii via FedEx 2-Day at a higher shipping rate. International shipping is not currently available, but contact us if you have a specific need and we'll see what we can do.
Setup & Use
How do I set up the De-Feedback Rack?
+
Plug in the power cable — the system boots automatically in about 30 seconds. Then connect it using one of two methods:

Option A: Inline (no mixer) — Plug your microphone into the rack's input, then run a cable from the rack's output to your powered speaker. Adjust volume on the speaker.

Option B: Console insert — If your audio console has insert jacks, patch the rack into the channel insert. This keeps your existing mixer workflow and just adds feedback elimination to that channel.

That's it. The AI feedback elimination starts working immediately — no configuration, no calibration, no buttons.
Does the De-Feedback system add any delay to the audio?
+
No. The Alpha Labs De-Feedback V1 processor runs at zero perceptible latency. Speakers and singers won't notice any delay. It processes the audio signal in real time — it's not like a noise gate or traditional feedback suppressor that reacts after feedback starts. It prevents feedback from happening in the first place.
What if I need help during my event?
+
Every rack ships with a QR code that links to a setup video, plus our direct phone/text number. We offer live support during your rental period — if something isn't working, call or text us and we'll walk you through it. For complex setups, we also offer optional pre-event consultation calls where we'll review your venue layout and sound system before your equipment arrives.
What cables and power do I need?
+
Everything is included. Each kit comes with all necessary audio cables (15-foot XLR cables), a power cable, and the system itself. All you need is a standard wall power outlet and your existing microphone and speaker/mixer setup. If you need longer cable runs, let us know when you book and we can include extensions.
Will it work with my existing sound system?
+
Yes. The De-Feedback Rack uses standard XLR audio connections — the same connectors used by virtually every professional microphone, mixer, and speaker system. You can use it inline between your mic and a powered speaker, or patch it into a channel insert on any audio console that supports inserts. If your venue has XLR connections, it will work. If you're not sure about your setup, send us a photo of your equipment and we'll confirm compatibility.
Damage & Returns
What if I damage the equipment?
+
If you purchased Damage Protection, accidental damage is covered — just let us know what happened and we'll handle it. Without protection, you'd be responsible for repair or replacement costs. Normal wear and tear (minor scuffs on cables, etc.) is expected and never charged. Every system is carefully packaged for shipping, so damage in transit is extremely unlikely.
What if the equipment doesn't work when it arrives?
+
Every system is tested before it ships. If something isn't working when you receive it, contact us immediately. We'll troubleshoot over the phone — most issues are connection-related and resolved in minutes. If the equipment itself is faulty, we'll ship a replacement immediately at no charge and extend your rental to cover the delay.
What happens if I return the rental late?
+
Late returns are charged at the daily rate for each additional day. Your rental period ends when FedEx scans the return package. We send a reminder email the day before your rental ends. If you know you'll need more time, contact us before your end date to extend — if the equipment is available, we'll add days at the best applicable rate rather than the daily rate.
Business & Partnerships
Do you offer white-label or sub-rental partnerships?
+
Yes. If you're an AV rental house, production company, or event planner who wants to offer de-feedback technology to your clients without owning the equipment, we offer sub-rental partnerships with wholesale pricing and white-label options. Your clients see your brand, not ours. Email us about partnership pricing.
Can I rent long-term or lease-to-own?
+
We offer monthly rental rates for long-term needs (like a church that wants to try de-feedback for a season before committing to purchase). We also have a lease-to-own program where a portion of your rental payments apply toward purchasing the system outright. Contact us for a custom quote.
I'm an AV integrator — can I recommend RackDrop to my clients?
+
Absolutely. We work with AV integrators who recommend RackDrop as a "try before you buy" solution for their clients considering permanent de-feedback installations. We offer a referral program for integrators. Get in touch and we'll set you up.
